American tech entrepreneur Brooklyn Earick has rejected submitting an official acquisition offer for Tottenham.

Spurs had previously “firmly declined” an unofficial approach from a consortium headed by the American last month and insisted the team was not for sale.

Yet British acquisition regulations required that, following an informal proposal rejected, the group needed to make an offer by 24 October or declare they would refrain.

Verification of the determination was provided in a announcement made by Tottenham to the London Stock Exchange, indicating the club is “no longer in an acquisition window.”

The entrepreneur posted an snapshot of the announcement on digital channels, stating: “It's been a honor discussing with the club and the Lewis family's representatives over the past few months.

“I maintain great respect for the organization, its leadership, and its supporters, and desire nothing but success.”

Spurs' leadership acknowledged the group for its “constructive approach” in talks and for “acknowledging the clear position” of the proprietors that the club is not for sale.

Earick is a one-time music presenter who also served in space technology for NASA before creating his technology firm, which concentrates on tech, communications, sports and leisure.

The informal offer was the latest inquiry turned down by the club's board since the sudden departure of executive chairman Levy in last month.

Earlier in September, the team turned down approaches from previous club stakeholder Staveley's the investment firm and a consortium spearheaded by Kennedy and Ng through the holding company.

Daniel Levy and his family own about thirty percent of Enic Sports & Developments Holdings Ltd – which has an nearly 87 percent stake in Spurs.
